Evaluation

The Sooch Foundation funds organizations we believe will make a concrete, sustainable impact on our target population. In order to accurately assess the impact of these partnerships, we ask our grantees to annually evaluate and track their progress towards their organizational goals.

We are interested in specific, measurable outcomes that are aligned with our shared mission and that directly demonstrate progress towards academic success and/or financial self-sufficiency. We also encourage our grantees to think in a sustainable manner, and identify and track medium- and long-term goals in addition to short-term goals for the immediate year.

We have multiple objectives for these evaluations:

  • To view organizational progress towards mission goals in a longitudinal or sustainable manner
  • To ensure that our funds are being utilized efficiently and productively
  • To make certain that the economically disadvantaged population experiences real and tangible benefits from programs
  • To identify best practices among comparable organizations
  • To assist organizations we may not be meeting their stated goals. As we ask for transparency on our grantees' side, we are also committed to assisting our grantees when they encounter challenges. We appreciate honesty in the evaluation process.

We use the Central Texas Education Funders (CTEF) Common Grant Report as our annual evaluation form.  This is closely aligned with the CTEF Common Application.  Please click here to redirect to the CTEF Common Report.
